Maggie Feeney

Maggie is a singer, songwriter from Northumberland with a deep interest in the history and traditions of the area. Her songs centre on the emotions and memories of the people who lived and worked in this isolated area and beyond.

“The Blackhouse” recalls the people who built Catcleugh Reservoir in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. “Far Horizons” an award winning song is a tribute to the Northumberland National Park (established in 1956). The song reflects the turbulent history from Roman times through to Reiver days and the present tranquillity.
